4th of july parade!

the day finally had arrived!
i literally have been waiting for this july fourth since last july
when we were just mere attendants to the santa rita parade in san angelo.
june was a belly bean last year and i left the parade rubbing
her in my belly telling her tales of how she would be
waving in the parade very soon and we were finally there!
ready to go.
wagon decorated.
matching shirts on.
flags waving proudly.
reppin' the good ole US of A.
i was jazzed!
you know grier and ardynn, our adorable cousins. . .
they are the real residents of this beautiful neighborhood that puts the parade on each year and were so sweet to pass the invitation to junie to come along for the ride in her first real parade.
thanks guys, i'm already decorating wagon ideas in my head for next year!
it was such a fun morning that wouldn't have been near as memorable
without paying tribute to our fine men and women that make celebrating our country possible.
thank you for all that you do to protect our land!
God bless the USA!

yummies!

my baby is a foodie.
oh how i hoped this day would come.
she loves any and everything that we give her and wants to be a part of all
of the meals that take place in our house.
i knew with her nine month appointment would hopefully come the doctor
go ahead to really venture out with her little tastebuds so we practically
ran to the store after to get some yogurt because for some reason this is what
i couldn't wait another second for her to try.
she of course loved it!
here's to all the yummies in the world!

gene pool party.

my sister in law emilie speaks my love language.
she loves home made t's,
over the top birthdays and
making sure that everyday is a party.
we had a great time when she and her family were here and spent
some late, late nights bonding over freezer paper stencils,
exacto knifes and fabric paint.
it was my kind of fun!
i live for projects like this.
em wanted to make all of the little cousins t's for their friday viewing of cars 2.
when she threw out the idea i jumped on board without any hesitation.
next time we are using the screen print method for sure but since our factory was open in the wee morning hours we wouldn't have had any sunlight.
so thankfully becky and kelly were wanting in on the fun too!
so with all hands on deck we were open for business.
loved this night with these three favorites.
we can't wait for our emilie to return for another late night crafting!
my in-laws kitchen was covered in baby t's and fun!
what a sight to wake up to the next morning.
talk about a dream come true. . . i would love to wake up to personalized t shirts once a week.
yay!
get it?
gene pool party!
here's all the little gene carriers ready for their
big show on opening day of cars 2.
i have to say they look pretty irrestible!
best part is, this is just the beginnning. . .
they will have matching shirts for the rest of their sweet little lives.
love it!

the rest.

we have been here and there and everywhere lately.
it's been really great though because all the hustle and bustle meant
that we were spending time with family that was here for
an entire week from virginia.
it was a week that went by way to fast and one that we already
 can't wait to happen again!
so this is a wrap up of our life on the fast lane.
this was the last picture taken of june in her carseat that she has been rollin' in since birth.
you sure do know that i shed some tears over this new transition to her big girl ride.
she is so pleased with the upgrade and we are
so glad that aunt emilie, certified expert carseat guru, was here to help
us with the installation because this bad boy threw mommy and daddy for a loop.
pretty much means you are ready for college junebug.
be still tear ducts.
june has two teeth currently but they are
the pearlieset whites of any baby on the block.
having her teeth brushed is the highlight of her day, such a big and funny girl.
we had the pleasure of meeting jackson and laci at the
yummy food court and then did some shopping for andy's anniversary gifts.
we were so happy to have buddies that wanted to tag along
with us and are already anxious to do it again.
don't these two look just like their daddies would in a double-wide stroller?
hilarious.
my dad recently had a little scare with melanoma.
we are so thankful that it was just that. . . a scare.
it did however send us all to the store for the strongest
sunscreen that money can buy and my dad has also bought every
single bucket hat that any golf store from here to midland sells.
supposedely they are the "in" thing to wear on the greens and if anyone
would know it would be our golfing papa.
so. . . thanks dad for lending it to andy for y'alls first time at nrh2o.
hurry back so we can go again!
my mom stayed a few extra days after my dad and christopher headed back west.
we busted out some t's for the 4th and felt kinda big time doing so.
let me say that these were a group effort with meredith, allison and kristen.
big thank you to you three!
like always, we had a great time with my mom.
she is such a blessing to me from abilene and when she's in my own home,
helping me clean, do laundry and just get things checked off my to-do list.
thank you mom for all that you do to make your children's life so good.
we had some fun one afternoon at homegoods.
our little girl is so big standing on her own two legs, she is so funny to me.
her perfect shopping trip involves a ton of cheerios or being held.
we were happy to oblige with open arms!
sweet angel.
my mom got crazy in the checkout line and found this baby hat for june.
she couldn't get over how much she looked like andy in this picture.
i couldn't get over how fun it's going to be when my daughter gets lice.
needless to say, we didn't leave the store with it.
yuck.
we had a blast in the month of june and wore this little bug out and it's
looking like the month of july is going to be even more fast and furious.
we just love all of thsi fun!
stay tuned for a gene pool party and an independence day recap.
hope you're all loving this summer time sun!

two years!

this hunk of love and i celebrated two years of marriage this past monday.
it was a really sweet day.
it seems kind of ridiculous to me that we did anything at all because i'm not joking you when i say that life with this man is like an anniversary every week.
he loves me incredibly well.
serves me selflessly everyday.
leads our family with faith, strength, wisdom and a level head. . . that i do not always have.
he fathers our daughter with unconditional love and he continues to be my favorite hobby,
my favorite person to laugh with
 and favorite foot rubber, ha!
i love you so much andrew cardwell jeffrey.
the Lord has shown favor on me by giving me you to love for the rest of our lives.
it is amazing the things that we've packed into this past year because
technically we are still very much newlyweds.
a pregnancy.
a move.
a new job.
a new town.
a new baby.
a new way of life.
it's been a lot to wrap my mind around at times but i know
there is not another soul on planet earth that i would rather be manuevering through life with.
i will love you forever and ever to the next seventy-seven years of wedded bliss.

nine months!

my girl you have turned nine months old right before our eyes
and due to the busy, busy month we've had i'm just now finding time to tell you about it.
you are more delightful with each passing day and we honestly think that with
each nap you take you grow a little more.
i promise, after a nap this week you were heavier and steadier and a
 tad bit girlier.
you are changing so much!
it makes me so sad and happy all at the same time that you are turning into a
little girl and growing out of the tiny baby stage.
you are so wonderful june marie jeffrey.
i love you much more than words could ever say.
so here's where month nine finds us.
you are ACTIVE!
i mean ac-tive.
you crawl so fast and are wanting to go everywhere you are allowed to
be and everywhere you are not supposed to.
you're pretty much over all of your toys.
you will maybe give them attention for five minutes and then you're
off to see what else is out there.
you melt our hearts when you crawl to us, pull up on our legs and look
at us with your doe brown eyes begging to be picked up.
it always works too.
we whisk you up and you're curious to see what we're working on.. .
it's usually something yummy to eat so we will give you a taste or three or four and
down you go again to continue exploring.
i love that you're a curious george, it makes me laugh.
this month at your well check you weighed 19 lbs and 4 ounces
and were 28 and 1/4 inches long.
i kinda have a feeling you're going to be tall like your daddy.
we were so thankful for a healthy report and no shots, yay!
we were also pumped that the doc gave us the go ahead to give
you any table food you desire.
we have had such fun with that!
you love vanilla yogurt, mandarin oranges, cheese, banannas, honeydew melon,
pineapple and just today you tried spaghetti and it quickly won the prize
for your favorite grown up food.
i love that you get to try the yummy stuff now,
i've secretly been paitently waiting for this day.
you still are eating cereal twice a day,
baby food three times a day,
one tiny snack in the afternoon and
nursing four times a day.
i know it seems like all we do is feed you but we really do a whole lot more!
just this month you went to the nursery for the first time at church.
a super big moment!
daddy and i like to keep you with us for worship but when it came time for the
sermon you were too squirmy wormy so you went to the nursery for a
whoppin' 30 minutes and did fantastic.
i was really nervous about leaving you and cried the minute we turned around
to walk away but felt so great about the whole thing when we came
to get you and you were all smiles.
who am i kidding!
i knew you would do so great, it would be me with the problems.
i am so glad you're loving the nursery and all of your new friends.
it's good for us both.
my little baby, you are such a good sleeper.
you love your crib.
you are taking two naps a day, both usually for an hour and a half and will go to
sleep for the night in the 8 o'clock hour and we won't see you again until six.
you'll wake up for some milk and go right back to sleep until about 8:15.
i really love that you like to hit the snooze button for a while becuase
that extra little sleep in the morning is so good for my soul.
thank you baby girl!
i cannot believe we are three months away from your first birthday.
cannot believe it.
we've already started planning and i am pumped about the possibilities.
you are the best thing on planet earth,
the highlight of our everyday.
we love you more than we thought our hearts ever could love someone.
we praise the Lord for your sweet heart,
your healthy little bod and thank
Him for trusting us with you.
goodness gracious, how could we do it without you sweetest love.

first haircut!

june got her first haircut when we were last in abilene.
it was a big, proud moment and i was so glad our favorite
hair stylist got to do the snippin' honors.
june had maybe 8 little strands of hair that hung on for dear life from the womb.
they had obviously passed up her new hair growth
and looked a wee bit out of place.
so. . . snip, snip, snip!
brand new do!
looking so cute.
thanks aunt caroline for setting the bar on haircuts.
there's no one else we'd trust with our locks.
