first haircut!

june got her first haircut when we were last in abilene.
it was a big, proud moment and i was so glad our favorite
hair stylist got to do the snippin' honors.
june had maybe 8 little strands of hair that hung on for dear life from the womb.
they had obviously passed up her new hair growth
and looked a wee bit out of place.
so. . . snip, snip, snip!
brand new do!
looking so cute.
thanks aunt caroline for setting the bar on haircuts.
there's no one else we'd trust with our locks.

our number one dudes.

what would we do without daddy's?
i am so thankful for the memories in these pictures.
i feel blessed beyond words for the
love,
protection and
guidance from these five amazing men.
they each have made being a daughter,
 granddaughter and most recently
a mother the most treasured roles.

you each are the icing on the cupcake
and the peanut butter to my jelly.
we love celebrating you not only on father's day but each and every day.

out west.

tootie is on
 summer vacatio
so you know what that means!
par-tay!!!
june and i headed out west last
tuesday for some summer lovin'. . . had me a blast.
i am a sunscreen nazi with this baby girl.
so we lathered our little mayo baby up and
introduced her to her
first summer swim at the country club.
she without a doubt loved it and by the end of
 the week she had been
swimming nearly everyday and would stay
in the water all day if we'd let her.
one day we met the etter's out there for lunch and splash time.
i love these next few pictures.
four of my all time favorite little treasures in one wet bunch
soaking up the sun and time together.
oh and try not to be jealous, the etter's are now soaking
up the sun and waves of hawaii.
we begged them to find a way to us stuff in their luggage.

my lily,
i love you.
will you please come live with us and babysit june?
done.
i finally bit the bullet and dove into the screen printing craze.
i'm so glad i did because we're popping out t's left and right.
we are for sure no meredith, allison or kristen but i'm hoping to one
day reach their greatness caliber.
oh please, one day!
they are so great and creative and so cute, let's all move next door to each other.
i had to have my mom's assistance in a major way. . . yeah i wouldn't have
even attempted it without her there to help walk me through each and every step.
so hand in hand we got the job done and now all three of us
have t's to commemorate june's first summer.
so fun!
while we were hard at work june was maxin' and relaxin'.
i'm always impressed with how great our girl does when we are
out of the comforts of her home.
i of course have panic attacks about any change for her but
she seems to have gotten her daddy's flexible gene.
i wish i had it.
so we took good long naps in tootie's
pack & play and rested up for fun in the sun with papa!

our lounge master.
she was cracking us up in her little float.
sweet life baby girl just having a ball.

this chica baby loves her some papa.
who wouldn't right?

we loved having pearce and noah join us for a quick swim
and dinner before heading home to greet daddy!
he's so great to head our way after a long work week.
june and i really are so grateful for how he works so
hard so his girls can live the dream.
pearce, you are gorgeous.
stop growing ok?
i can't forget you as a little baby girl clinging to your mom,
screaming at us and not letting
anyone hold you, ha!
now look at you.
rockin' nike shorts like a teenager and being so grown up.
love you so.
our stay out west concluded with some time at the ranch with paw and precious.
it was so nice to be out there with them.
i love that june will have a little taste of country life, cows and catfish.
maybe one day her daddy will teach her how to drive the tractor!

it goes down in the books as a great week spent
with the ones we love most. . .
let's do it again next week!

backyard bbq.

one night this week we thought it would be fun to grill
out and let junie girl splash in her pool.
this week has seemed to fly by,
sometimes i like that but other times it makes me feel a little bit lost. . . like what is today.
tuesday, thursday, monday, saturday?
i used to never have this problem, i was singing days of the week
songs with my kinders so i guess they kept me informed.
june has yet to learn those songs so we kinda are in
la-la land a lot of the time.
so, one night this week we grilled out
and it was a good night.
my grandma, june's great grandma gifted her with this jumbo
rubber duckie last week when we were visiting our favorite place on earth.
i think it's so cute and fun and june is in total agreeance.
she makes for a fun addition to our little duck family.

our grill master working on our yummy ka-bobs.
i am giddy when andy suggests grilling out because it's such a team effort in the kitchen.
i do the sides and he takes care of the meat.
makes for an easy night for mama!
i am sad that our yard looks unkept in these pictures.
i'm sure this is silly but i feel like you should know we are not those people.
andy mows our yard every week, promise.
sure do love these simple nights at home with my crew.
our little water worm with her sweet baby gut,
 the love of my life
 and yummy food.
three things that make life pretty sweet.

lakefront.

we were happy happy people this weekend.
our friends, andrew, abbie and luke invited us to join them at
their beautiful lake house for some fun on the water.
there was not a second of hesitation when we got the official invite.
yes a million times.

we tried to leave bright and early on saturday morning,
 almost got the early down,
definitely got the bright.
we really couldn't get there fast enough and
would have stayed for weeks.
it was seriously that wonderful.
wonderful house.
wonderful boat.
wonderful food.
wonderful friends.
sweet june has been having a hard time figuring out if sleeping or
standing is more important to do in her crib so she hit the sack pretty early
saturday night and left poor luke to play with the adults.
our little miss thang was one tired puppy.
is luke not the greatest?
i think i heard one tiny peep out of him the entire time.
little stud muffin, june already misses you.
thanks for the best weekend, sweet harmon's.
hope there's many more in our future!

memorial memories.

my little family had the greatest, most relaxed
 memorial day weekend.
we are so grateful for our military and all that they do to
protect this great country, what a perfect weekend to honor their service,
 past and present.
kinda think we should have weekends
 for them every month.
don't you just love our flag?
tossed these in one of our flower beds and was sad
to take them out tuesday morning.
can't wait for the week of the 4th for them to
go right back in the ground.
we love to be patriots!
i do believe that the little bug girl would totally agree with us that
her three day weekend was pretty fantastic.
she was the belle of the ball at lowe's and was then introduced
to the yummiest yogurt ever for being such a good little shopper girl.
runs in her blood, that shopping girl thing.

she loved her yogurt!
i gave her the tiniest little taste and you could just see her eyes light up.
she though it was the best thing yet, sweet angel.
just wait until you taste reese's peanut butter cups.
talk about rock your world.
mmmmm.
we made our family debut to nrh2o, verdict is still out on
wether or not june had the time of her life.
she didn't smile one time, which was so sad to me but i think
with practice she will learn to love it.
we picked the most prime time to arrive, 6 o'clock, when all the
crazy teenagers were home, floated in the lazy river with
maybe eight other people and then
splashed for just a bit in the kiddie pool.
i think my little bug is too accustomed to her nice warm,
sudsy bath that the shock of the cool water sent her into a tizzy.
she never fussed once, was taking it all in but
the no smiling thing made me think that she just was having no fun at all.
better luck next time. . .
because there will be a next time.

our little hoodrat, feeling much warmer out of the
water and in her sweet little cover up.
love her.
uncle christopher was in town coaching baseball so we got to
see him for just a minute over lunch at annamia's.
yummy lunch and love our uncle!
so sad that i didn't take pictures of our memorial day cookout at the newhouse's.
so disappointing.
we enjoyed our lunch with friends, got to see sweet baby
chapel again, ate yummy burgers and snacks and had the best time.
we are still over the moon that ryan, laci and jackson live seven minutes
from us, it's so fun to have them so close.
of course we were so thrilled to have this guy
home with us for three uninterrupted days.
maybe we can win the lottery and he won't ever have to go back to work.
:)
hope your memorial day weekend was all the fun that it could be!
