mother's day.

there is nothing like being a mother.
it is so surreal.
so sweet.
so unbelievable.
this mother's day was so perfect because of this little girl
who i am beyond blessed to 'mother'.
i know this post is so late.
story of our lives.
i was thinking on mother's day as my parents drove
away from us in the chapp's parking lot,
how incredibly blessed i am to be a mother and to have a mother
that i whole heartedly adore and cherish.

mother's day can be such a joyful day,
 this i always knew,
but it took being a mother to realize that it can
also be a day that brings alot of pain and sadness.
i feel so blessed to have a mom,
to enjoy every second i get with her
and to be a mom enjoynig every second i get
with my little girl.
i know i have much to praise and thank the Lord for.
i am so thankful.
my heart aches for anyone that felt any sadness this mother's day.
may you forever feel the love and peace of our Lord.
three generations of one heck of a mother-daughter duo.
love these two girls more than a milion words.

just for abby.

i'm sorry to have become such a blogger slacker.
if my dvr is not an excuse then i have no good one.
i'm really hoping to become more motivated and bring y'all some good reading material.
but maybe don't hold your breath.
so june loves to swing.
it's her very most favorite outside activity.
when she sees that we are headed to the back door she gets so excited
and starts kicking her little legs so fast.
it's pretty sweet, i'm so glad she likes to be outside.
she is loving sitting in a shopping cart too.
much better than being cooped up in her carseat. . .
she thinks it's so nice to be out in the open for everyone to ooh and aaah over her.
for some reason our little outings take a little bit longer these days,
hmmm.
:)
we have been introduced to the world of snacks.
baby mum-mums top the list of favorites and she feels
like such a big girl feeding them to herself.
she is getting so big!
she's gone for her first ride on daddy's shoulders,
loved it of course,
and pulled his hair the whole time.
daddy didn't mind.
we went on a three mile walk the other day with laci and jackson,
more exercise than mama has gotten since before i was pregnant.
we were both worn out and felt so accomplished.
i'm so lame for being worn out after three miles of walking, i know.
this little romper was a 'too good to be true' find at target that we just had to have.
too cute right!
we also made our way to the zoo with some new friends.
poor sophie broke her neck on this trip.
when am i going to get my act together?
i was thirty minutes late, planned everything perfectly to be there on time
and was doing so good until i got lost.
i called andy immediately, told him my whereabouts and he asked the most profound question. . .
"do you have your gps plugged in?"
well no.
problem solved.
my mom gave me this nifty little container last mother's day.
i loved it then and love it even more now,
thought it was so practical. . . it has about five other
little compartments that snap onto the bottom of this one.
really should be a must-have for any mom because it packs brillantly into our diaper bag.
anyways, i love june's yogurt melts.
always have.
my sister in law becky used to have these for eden when she was tiny like june.
anytime we were with them andy and i would sneak a few for ourselves.
we both really loved them so much that becky got us some for our honeymoon goodie bag.
we ate the entire bag on the planeride to mexico and were both so sick to our stomachs.
i handed him one the other day and it triggered some unhappy memories for him.
hasn't phased me a bit, bought two more bags today in fact.
they are delish to me and june agrees.
afterall, her opinion is the only one that matters.
for a couple days last week this was the only way
june would sleep during her naps.
she would nuzzle her way over there and fall asleep.
it was so cute and adorably weird.
whatever works.
seriously, would anyone have any pictures
these days without their camera phones?
it's ridiculously wonderful and convienent.
i love my tiny family.
you have to look very, very hard to see it but she woke up from her nap
the other day with the first sight of bed head.
i about died.
i wish she woke up from every nap with bedhead.
i love it!
you can kinda see it a little better in this picture.
so cute, a sign of good rest if you ask me.
my brother gave her this little talking puppy for christmas.
she was way too young for it then, but man alive has she made up for lost time.
we've had it out for a while for them to get acquainted
but lately she has been absolutely crazy about her friend.
she smiles and laughs and no joke. . . tackles him.
they are the best of friends, so sweet.
and does this not scream sixteen year old to you?
picking and choosing her own fun.
i'm crying just looking at this picture.
please stop growing,
 live with us forever
and always let me hug and kiss you.
always.

let love rule here.

just a few things i want to make sure are not forgotten.
we were anxiously awaiting andy's arrival after work one evening and
with no tricks left in my bag,
i popped her on the window sill and she fell in love all over again with herself.
she really was so cute to watch as she discovered
her little friend in the window.
my word, i love her!

she is loving everything that i am putting in her mouth lately.
i knew this day would come and am thrilled that
this girl is as in love with food as her parents are.
the apple doesn't fall from the tree!
we celebrated baby jackson's first birthday as a galaxy intramural team.
the invitation called for guests to arrive in their sports gear
so let's make certain that we only chose to be a G1 team because we were at
ryan newhouse's, moonie of all moonies.
who are we kidding. . . they are all still living the dream.
love those boys.
sweetest little water bug.
we're pushing our limits in the sink tub, worked like a charm for her tiny days
but with each passing minute she grows a wee bit more and it's
just a short matter of time before we graduate to the actual bathtub.
i can already feel my back hurting. . .

she's wearing real sandals.
how did that happen that she can wear like pretty much real shoes?
don't you see the tread on the bottom. . .
that means they're real shoes.
goodness gracious,
stop clocks,
just stop it.
i don't know if we can officially proclaim that she is crawling but
we know for sure she is covering some major ground.
she's mastered the tiny army crawl now it's just a matter of getting
those sweet arms to move in time with her little legs.
heaven help us!
self explanatory,
 kiss her all day.
every day.
during our visit in abilene julia came over to see us and
get a crash course on june's ride.
she is so thoughtful,
all of the time,
and brought june the sweetest easter treats.
thank you aunt julia for always thinking of me,
you're the best of the best.

we sure do love our cousins pearce and noah, especially
when they are willing to ride around the streets in june's wagon.
these kids all love each other!

everyone got swings for their back patios for the little bug.
she obviously isn't complaining about it!
andy is thinking about sending this picture into 'little tikes'
for them to use as their advertisement.
try and tell me she won't help these puppies fly off the shelves.
thought so.
i just love this guy so much.
seriously, don't know how i could make it without him.
thankful for all that he is.
undeniably, the total package.

baby girl belcher!

a few weeks ago we found out some very exciting news!
our dear julia and andrew are awaiting the arrival of a sweet little girl
and they had the most fabulous party to announce her debut!
we cannot wait another second to meet you sweet little girl, june is pumped about her new bff.
team pink and team blue.
the happy parents, they are going to be so great at mommy and daddy!
can't wait to share stories with these two.
isn't this party just perfection.
everything was so cute!
the big reveal!
yay for pink!
while mama was away this little bug had a fun time at the driving range
with papa, uncle pher and tootie.
my dad dreams of teaching june how to play golf and after looking at these pictures i think his dream might come true.
she had a great time, who knew golf was so fun?!?
when we pulled into town we met christopher for lunch at our favorite united deli and then surprised tootie at her school. . . you would have thought the queen was visiting because june was paraded around that place like a royal.
it was so fun for my mom to show her off and of course june loved all of the attention.
probably the best less than 24 hours spent in our home away from home!

all things eggy easter!

the bug's first easter was so sweet and great!
i love 'firsts' so much, so we did this one out with a bang.
somehow i coaxed andy into coordinating our sunday church attire to compliment his girls.
he kicked and screamed the whole time but what a very yellow, eastery family we are on sunday morning.
this is what our family of three is all about, ha!
i personally am in love with the coordinating look
and feel certain that june will appreciate it too in her later years.
so i made june's easter basket with the hopes that the next time
i have to create an easter basket it will be for baby brother or baby sister.
i had one easter basket my entire life,
 so did christopher,
that we used every year for egg hunts
and i am hoping that june's will stand the test of time too.
it turned out to be a tad bit 'louder' than what i normally perfer
but andy kept reminding me in my moments of panic that alot of easter baskets
he has seen in his days were all pretty 'busy'.
so we went with it and i was pretty happy with how everything looked once the bunny had done his thing.
boy howdy, did he do his thing!
easter sunday was such a sweet morning.
isn't the week leading up to easter unlike any other?
just to know and rest in the knowledge of a RISEN Lord is so powerful.
to be certain of a ressurection and an empty tomb leaves me speechless and in awe of our mighty savior who we love to celebrate on such a beautiful day.
thank you Lord for giving us life!
would you look at that?
the easter bunny came twice to tootie's house for june!
she got two basketes FULL of goodies.
so yeah, my family loves any excuse to give treats.
it's our love language.
we speak it well and often. . . tootie is the most well versed!
after a wonderful church service we headed home for what seemed like june's longest nap ever, sweet girl, and then headed to my grandma's house to see all of our cousins, new and old.
it was so wonderful to see and hug everyone.
aren't these little cousins so sweet?
i love how june is looking at these big girls!
and ya'll should see the bows their mama made for june, adorable!
don't know how she does it all.
cutest girls.
cutest mom.
cutest house.
the hail storm that passed through kinda put a damper on our egg hunt
so we had a little drawing system in the living room.
the jeffrey three made it out $16 bucks richer. . .
good egg hunt if you ask me.
easter sunday was a great way to end our stay in abilene.
i absolutely love that town and everyone in it.
can't wait to be back there.
***
in other exciting news, my husband, the best easter bunny out there, shocked my socks off easter night. . .
after our most stressful drive back, due to more hail and storms and
tons of pulling over to park under overpasses,
we pulled into town super late
and super exhausted.
we have been tossing around the idea of new floors in our house for a little while,
maybe two weeks or so.
we previously had carpet where wood is now and the pyscho in me couldn't bare the thought of june learning to crawl on someone elses's germ infested carpet and andy was certain it would just look better but i had resigned myself to being patient and not pressing too hard about the floor situation.
so june and i left on a tuesday afternoon,
that same afternoon andy was calling around to get some estimates,
by that night he had purchased all of the materials,
by wednesday morning the guys were hard at work in our house
and by friday they were done. . .
waiting for their mama to come meet them!
this surprise falls in second place right under andy asking me to marry him.
i have never been more surprised and elated in my life.
that sounds so silly but an engagement and new floors were very exciting events,
especially when you don't see them coming!
thank you a million times over mr. jeffrey.
you are the very best for more more reasons than new floors.
i love you!
