she's here!

our little june is here!
she is perfect in everyway!
we couldn't possibly love her more!
let's just say her arrival into this world did not leave us wanting more in the way of unexpected drama.
i woke up thinking it would be just another normal pregnant day, appointment in the afternoon, sonogram right before. no big whooop, just pretty run of the mill.  it turned out quite differently  and we are so glad it did! and of course this was  the only appointment that andy couldn't make.
things always play out that way right?
i'm laying on the sonogram table when the sweet lady tells me my 'levels' looked low.
i thought nothing of it really.
she said the doctor wanted to check to see how things were looking and to see if my water had possibly ruptured.
i still thought nothing of it and felt certain that there had been no water that had broken.
there was no gush.
there was no rush.
there was no panicked movie scene like i had always envisioned.
so. . .
they checked things out and the first test came back positive and just for safe keeping they did another test, that one came back negative.
we were all perplexed.
i was still thinking 'no way', 'this can't be it'.
they sent me next door to the hospital to l&d triage for a more accurate test.
i finally started to panic a bit.
i had to put on a hospital gown and that's when things started to get very real.
andy rushed over, they did their official test and it came back positive.
my water had ruptured and we were not going home without a baby!
goodness, i wish we had a video camera on us at all times after this moment.
we called everyone and I-20 started to burn up.
my parents and christopher rushed in from abilene and andy's parents were at the ranch.
so the rubber met the road and there was no stopping them.
we quickly set up shop in our l&d room and then just waited to hear from our doctor as to what the next step would be.
my contractions were pretty much nothing until they started the pitocin and then things drastically went from zero pain to lots of pain.
by far the worst pain i have EVER experienced and i was sweating.
i made it to a three before the epidural was administered and then life was great again.
i mean really great!
like no pain at all and i could still move my legs.
about an hour and a half later i was at a nine and we were shocked.  everyone kept telling us that i would probably dialate a little more every hour.
so about thirty minutes later we were pushing and moments away from meeting our little sweet thing!
i pushed for two and a half hours before our life was changed forever.
i would do it again right now.
i would do it again everyday for the rest of my life if it meant she was here with us.
we are more than in love.
sweetest moment.
our new family of three.
these two, along with becky got a little bit restless waiting on june's arrival.
so much so that they had security called on them.
in all of my free time i made t-shirts for everyone to wear for sweet june.
the back said 'celebrating june.'
no big deal, just a momento for such a monumentous moment.
my whole world.
instantly in love.
here's our lineup of the troops that stuck it out until the early morning to meet our little girl.
june's papa.
june's uncle christopher.
june's paw.
aunt kelly.
aunt becky.
june's tootie.
june's precious.
thank you to everyone for all of your sweet words, phone calls, texts, visits and most importantly your prayers for our little girl.
you have richly blessed us.
we are excited beyond words about life with her and already can't imagine it without her.
thank you Lord for our sweet gift.
